CORAXO - Starlit Flame (EP)
Image

Band was formed in September 2013. It started as a one man just for fun project to make some cheesy scifi metal, but quickly grew into something bigger.

Now, the first EP of three in our scifi saga is done, and Coraxo will head on the road near you!

Coraxo is an industrial / electro metal band from Tampere Finland. The band was formed in Sep 2013.

Coraxo will release their debut EP of exciting new hybrid of death metal and soundscapes of the science fiction
movies and TV of the 50′s through 70′s, inspired by artists like Delia Derbyshire and Vangelis.

Starlit Flame, the 29 minute EP, was recorded and mixed by Coraxo during Aug-Nov 2013,
and was mastered in Nov 2013 at Unisound Studios Sweden by Dan Swanö.

Starlit Flame is the first of a planned trilogy, which heavily lends its storytelling from the Alien movies universe.

The spinetingling story begins when a derelict space craft has been found on a crash course
towards the Earth, and a squad of scientists and soldiers is sent to investigate. Soon it will become
apparent that the team is not being told the truth about their mission, and something else much more
sinister is at play in the dark depths of the ship…

The already planned upcoming two future parts of the EP trilogy will consist of the same synergy of
old school nordic death metal combined with the analog electronic sound of yesteryear.
“Nordic death metal meets Doctor Who”, if you like.

SIGNUM REGIS - Exodus
Image

Guest vocalists includes Göran Edman [ex. Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum], Matt Smith [Theocracy, Daisa Munhoz [Vandroya, Soulspell], Michael Vescera [Obsession, Animetal USA], Lance King [ex. Pyramaze, Balance of Power] and more! Mastered by Tommy Hansen [Helloween, Jorn, Circus Maximus]. Artwork by Felipe Machado Franco [Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, Iced Earth].

Signum Regis was formed in 2007 by bass player Ronnie König. The highly respected vocalist Göran Edman [ex. Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum] joined the band and they started to work on their debut album. The self-titled debut album was released during 2008 through Locomotive Records and received great reviews from around the world.

In 2010 Signum Regis signed with Inner Wound Recordings and released the impressive concept album “The Eyes Of Power”, still with Göran on vocals. The album was received really well, especially in Europe. With this album it was clear that Signum Regis had found their own sound, within the melodic/neoclassical metal scene.
When the guys started to write songs for the bands third album it was clear that the album needed more vocalist than one, since this was going to be a diverse and quite deep concept album. After careful consideration they decided to ask around some of their favorite vocalists if they would like to contribute to the album, and quite soon it was clear that some great vocalists would be on the album.

The third Signum Regis album is called “Exodus” and it’s a historical concept album about the Israelites who were enslaved in ancient Egypt. Musically the album is a bit more straight melodic metal than the previous album, but the Signum Regis sound is definitely still there. Ronnie König mixed the album together with Filip Koluš [guitars] and the mastering was handled by Tommy Hansen [Helloween, Jorn, Circus Maximus] at Jailhouse Studios. The artwork was created by Felipe Machado Franco [Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, Iced Earth].

“Exodus” feat. vocalists like Göran Edman [ex. Yngwie Malmsteen, John Norum], Lance King [ex. Pyramaze, Balance of Power], Matt Smith [Theocracy], Michael Vescera [Obsession, Animetal USA, ex. Yngwie Malmsteen], Daísa Munhoz [Vandroya, Soulspell] and more.

OVERLAND - Epic
Image

Featuring Billy Greer (Kansas / Seventh Key), Fredrik Bergh, Billy Trudel, produced, arranged and mixed by Mike Slamer (Seventh Key)!

Steve Overland is back! a legend in his own lifetime. Is there anyone out there who is not familiar with his name? He has a history that goes way back into the late seventies, his first major recording was with the band “Wildlife” in 1980. After the demise of “Wildlife” Steve went on to form the cult British melodic rock band “FM”, a band that released many great albums throughout the eighties and nineties and more recently in 2013. Their popularity has always been at the forefront of British Hard Rock.

Steve originally teamed up with Escape Music to provide lead vocals for the Boston Tribute album (ESM 081), singing 'Amanda', one of the album highlights. Steve also teamed up with Steve Morris of “Heartland” fame to record the much acclaimed “Shadowman” albums “Land of the Living” (ESM 099) “Different Angles” (ESM127) “Ghost in the Mirror” (ESM179) Watching Over you (ESM224).

Steve has also fronted two releases by “The Ladder”, which is a dream come true for all fans of FM as the band is an extension of the great FM themselves. “Future Miracles” (ESM109) was welcome by fans old and new and it was hailed by many as the best album of 2004. More recently “Sacred” (ESM149) is an album that hones the identity of “The Ladder”.

Steve’s first solo album “Break Away” (ESM170) had fans divided as it was so much different from his work with FM, but many grew to love it as it was something different from the norm. Steve gave us a more classic approach to melodic rock with “Diamond Dealer” (ESM198), with great songs that have feeling and depth. It’s now time for one of the finest starts to 2014 you could possible want to wish for, the album “Epic” which is the brand new release from this famous vocalist. With Mike Slamer and Billy Greer of Kansas involved in the proceedings then we are in for a big big album. “Radio Radio” is one of the most radio-friendly tracks you could ever wish to hear and so easy on the ears. Rockers abound with “If Looks Could Kill”, “Rags to Riches” and the awesome “Down comes the night”. It’s the quality of the songs and musicianship on this album that makes it so special and credit to Christian Wolff (Rob Moratti) who has also made this album so remarkable with his great guitar playing and song writing.

This is a perfect album from Steve, if you have a penchant for perfect harmonies, big guitars and soaring keyboards topped off with a top-notch production then look no further than this. A Classic – already!

NERGARD - Intermission (EP)
Image

NERGARD is the latest addition to the Norwegian Melodic Metal-scene. The band was formed as an allstar project in 2010 by 24 year old musician Andreas Nergård (Rudhira).

Since the start Nergard has released an EP entitled "The Beginning" featuring the well-known singers Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear) Mike Vescera (ex Yngwie Malmsteen) and Tony Mills (TNT). The EP got positive respons from all over the world and now the expectations are high before the release of the debutalbum "Memorial for a Wish" in the spring of 2013. MFAW is a concept album with a story set to Dublin, Ireland 1890. The young man Peter O’Donnell is arrested and wrongfully accused for a burglary which he did not commit. After a short trial he is sentenced to prison for twenty years. In desperation he is forced to leave his pregnant wife behind and live in solitude behind the prison walls. Twenty long years passes by and Peter is released from jail, only to find out that his beloved wife died many years ago while giving birth to their daughter. The friends he once had turn their backs on him and let him face the grief all alone. This eventually tears him apart. As the hands of sorrow and despair becomes too much to handle he ends up committing suicide.

A new EP entitled "Intermission" will be released in January of 2014 and features three coversongs.

The follow up-album to MFAW is in the making and will be ready for release during the fall of 2014. This album will also feature some well-known names from the metalscene.
